Recital prep checklist for music teachers - part 2

✅ One month before recital: it’s too late to learn new notes. Do you need to simplify the song arrangement for a more polished performance?

✅ Practice performances: at least two lessons before the recital have at least *one practice performance per lesson for parents, nanny, and/or siblings.

*Simulate the recital experience - seated in audience, walk up to “stage” and set up on instrument, check position, perform once, smile and bow with audience applause. Repeat if necessary.

✅ REMEMBER: an impressive performance is polished, clean, steady, musical, with a visually professional posture and position - not too complex for their level, messy, too fast, or with an amateur sloppy position.

Good luck!
