Nylon classical guitar by Cordoba, Alvarez, or Yamaha. Many available on Amazon, but we recommend going with your child to Guitar Center to try them in person. Please remember to buy a tuner! 

Please note nylon strings help develop your tone production technique - nylon is softer on the fingers and avoids the brutal learning curve on steel strings. Avoid buying an acoustic guitar with electronics, as that adds extra money to the guitar and never sounds great.
