In-Home Lessons

Ask us about in-home lessons!

Did you know that for the first several years of our 15-year history, Tribeca Music offered only in-home lessons? Even today, the majority of our students across Lower Manhattan still learn in their own homes. While we love our private, inspiring studio in the heart of Tribeca, families are always welcome to switch to in-home lessons at any time.

Benefits of in-home lessons include:

  • Siblings and family members hear the music and feel inspired

  • Comfortable and familiar learning environment for your child

  • Easier scheduling — one child can do homework while another has a lesson

  • Parents can hear what their child is working on and stay involved

  • No stress during bad weather — lessons happen right at home Students learn on their own instrument, making practice time seamless

  • Teachers build stronger relationships with the entire family

  • In-home students are always invited to our studio for rehearsals before recitals

  • Family duets are easier — parent-child and sibling duets are magical

Need a instrument recommendation? Our top-tier experts recommend instruments that support progress, confidence, and long-term musical growth:

Piano: We always recommend an acoustic piano when possible.

Prefer digital? Our educators love the Casio Privia for its feel, sound, and reliability.

Guitar: For younger students, the Loog Guitar is a favorite — perfectly sized, engaging, and designed to help children succeed from day one. These featured instruments are just the beginning.
