✨ TEACHER FEATURE – A BU! ✨

We are proud to spotlight A Bu, one of our exceptional piano teachers here at Tribeca Music! 🎹🌟 His artistry, versatility, and genuine love of teaching make him an inspiring mentor for our students and a valued member of our team.

"A Bu's expertise in both classical and jazz music makes him a diverse musician who is excited to teach and introduce music of all genres." In every lesson at Tribeca Music, he blends strong technical foundations with creativity and exploration, guiding students to grow as confident, expressive musicians. A Bu teaches lessons in both English and Mandarin, making his studio welcoming and accessible to a wide range of students and families.

A Bu is the First Prize and Audience Award winner of the 2015 Montreux Jazz Solo Piano Competition. A pianist and composer who seamlessly bridges classical and jazz traditions, he has performed with orchestras including the Belgrade Philharmonic and Moscow Virtuosi, and has appeared at world-renowned venues such as Carnegie Hall and Beijing’s National Centre for the Performing Arts.

A passionate champion of Nikolai Kapustin’s music, he released New Memories (WERGO, 2022), featuring Kapustin’s works alongside his own compositions. A graduate of Juilliard and Mannes, A Bu is published by Schott Music and has received the Ruhr Piano Festival Scholarship and the Artemisia Foundation Composer-in-Residence honor.

Above all, he brings warmth, enthusiasm, and purpose into every classroom. As he beautifully says,

✨ "Let music fulfill a fun and meaningful time to all of us!" ✨

We are so fortunate to have A Bu shaping the musical journeys of our students at Tribeca Music. 🎶💛
