Founded On Excellence
Tribeca Music was founded by Lydia Velichkovski, Steinway & Sons teacher and educational partner for over a decade and recipient of the 2024 Steinway Top Teacher Piano Award.
Born and raised in New York City in a musical family, and later marrying a fellow musician, Lydia experienced firsthand the transformative power of music.
After private teaching in Tribeca in 2013, Lydia set out to create the kind of music school she wished every family could experience.
She envisioned a community that combined exceptional music education with warmth, fun, and genuine connection where students receive personalized instruction, achieve real musical excellence.
Today, that vision continues to shape everything we do.

We connect students with carefully vetted independent music instructors, manage the studio and scheduling.
Each instructor operates an independent teaching practice and is responsible for how they conduct lessons.
