School Calendar

WE ARE A YEAR ROUND SCHOOL - ENROLLMENT IS ALWAYS OPEN, SO CALL US ANYTIME!
We will prorate your first month of lessons if you start in the middle of the month.

Monthly tuition covers an average of four lessons per month for 48 weeks per year, as seen in the above chart. The rate remains consistent regardless of whether a month has five weeks or three weeks due to a holiday.

For Spring Break, since we work with both private and public school student calendars, we offer up to two private make-ups, which can be scheduled at a mutually convenient time with your teacher, or longer lessons on surrounding weeks to make-up for any missed travel time. If none of these make-up options work well for your schedule, we can apply up to two Spring Break cancellation credits to your next month’s invoice.

Snow days: If there is an emergency snow storm that affects our teachers’ commute to students’ homes safely, we will teach all lessons online via FaceTime or Zoom that day during your regularly scheduled lesson time.

Make-ups: Students may schedule one private makeup with their teacher per semester due to illness only (Fall semester is September-December and Spring Semester is January-June). In the case of other absences, you may choose from the following make-up options:

1) Send a friend or family member in your place during your regularly scheduled lesson time.

2) Request a recorded video lesson from your instructor with personalized practice instructions for the week.

3) Attend one of our semester virtual group make-up masterclasses with Lydia. Virtual group make-up masterclasses with Lydia will be on Friday, June 6th from 4-5pm and 5:30-6:30pm for the Spring semester, via Zoom. This opportunity is only open to students who have accrued an absence without using another make-up option listed above.

4) Ask your teacher if they have any cancellations that week which can allow for a courtesy private make-up lesson at another day and time.

5) Schedule two longer length lessons for the following two weeks, if your teacher has availability for a longer lesson.

6) If a teacher is absent due to illness, emergency, or travel, the missed lesson will either be rescheduled at a mutually convenient time, following lessons extended to make up for lost time, or conducted with a guest teacher.

Spring Break: For Spring Break, we offer up to two private make-ups, which can be scheduled at a mutually convenient time with your teacher, or longer lessons on surrounding weeks to make-up for any missed travel time. If none of these make-up options work for your schedule, we will apply up to two Spring Break cancellation credits to your next month’s invoice.

Summer Lessons: During July and August only, you have the option to skip the monthly tuition and choose from lesson packages of 2, 4, 6, or 8 sessions. These can be scheduled at any time throughout July and August that is mutually convenient for you and your teacher. To secure your Fall spot, please schedule at least a 2 lesson package. We also offer virtual lessons for those who are traveling. If you’re unable to take any lessons during the summer, you may also reserve a Fall lesson spot with your preferred teacher with a non-refundable deposit.

Withdrawal: If you need to withdraw, you must notify our office by the 15th of the month to stop auto-billing for the following month in order to give our teachers and office at least two weeks notice. Any withdrawal notices received after the 15th will continue auto-billing on the 1st of the next month and stop auto-billing for the following month.

If you withdraw from lessons, you will lose your spot in your teacher’s schedule, and there is a $60 registration fee per student upon re-enrollment. Lesson availability will be determined at the time of re-enrollment, as we are unable to hold spots in teacher’s schedules.

Auto-billing: Auto-billing is required on the 1st of each month with that calendar month’s tuition. New students, including parents and siblings, starting lessons mid-month will have a prorated tuition. All students are emailed a secure form to submit your preferred payment method. If you prefer to call us to share your preferred payment method, please feel free to call Lydia at 601-842-0972.

First Trial Month: We’re happy to offer a ‘First Trial Month’ for any friends or family you refer and all new students. If a new student feels their teacher isn’t the right fit within the first month of lessons, we’re happy to switch instructors or provide a refund for any untaught lessons.

Thank you for your support of music lessons with us. We deeply value each of you and are excited for another wonderful year of making music together!
