It all started when…

Since 2012, we've taught quality private music lessons to New York City families. From toddlers to parents, Tribeca Music is committed to making your music lesson experience the best it can be.

We're not only devoted to teaching music with quality and excellence but also devoted to building long-lasting relationships with the families we work with.

Tribeca Music began as private piano lessons by Lydia Velichkovski in the Tribeca neighborhood of Manhattan in 2012. By working only with teachers who share our deep commitment to excellence, we have been able to welcome in a record number of students so far this year.

We are Steinway and Sons educators and members of Music Teachers National Association and New York State School Music Association.

We love supporting education and music within our community. We are a proud sponsor in 2024 of Washington Market School in Tribeca and we love welcoming preschool age students.

Our students receive top scores from their judges at the NYSSMA state music competition where they are judged on music theory, technique, sight reading, solo performance repertoire, and musicality. Our students are invited to perform in the top performance halls such as Steinway Hall, Manhattan School of Music, and National Opera Center.

We welcome students of all ages and levels. Lessons are taught in the comfort of your own home or our new studio if you live in New York City or online if you live outside of New York City.
